Life is often busy with work and responsibilities, we can find our bodies getting depleted, minds muddled and spirits worn down.

We all need times of rest in order to recharge,
get away and take time to breathe deeply. 

Here at Treargel you can do just this.
Finding rest, peace and
space to think in beautiful surroundings.

Treargel means 'home of retreat' in Cornish.

With wonderful sea views, we have a range of unique individual spaces

to suit your needs. These include; 

  • Two cosy converted stone Cottages, with mod cons 

  • A cute upcycled Shepherd’s Hut, with amazing sea views

  • A secluded wooden Hermitage, deep in the woods overlooking a pond

The Byre

A gorgeous self-contained barn with a view over the bay. The master bedroom has a super-king bed, which can convert to twin) and the cabin room has 2 small bunk beds). Other rooms include a large lounge/kitchen/diner with washing machine, microwave, dishwasher, TV, DVD and Wifi. Bathroom has a bath with built in shower and heated towel rail. It has a wood burning stove, with the first bag of fuel for free, plus electric heaters. 

Enjoy sitting on the large settee or the balcony looking over the bay and watching the birds.

The Piggery

A lovingly renovated and self-contained spacious annexe to The Barn. It can accommodate up to 2 adults (one queen sized bed). It has a large lounge/diner with a wood burning stove, two electric heaters, TV, DVD and Wifi. The kitchen is fully equipped with washing machine, cooker and microwave. The bedroom has an electric heater and en-suite bathroom with shower and heated towel rail. 

 

Enjoy breakfast in the sun in the small private courtyard.

The Hermitage

A refuge from the demands and distractions of modern life. The Hermitage is a small peaceful cabin located deep in our woodland grounds. A comfortable retreat for up to two people thanks to its double sofa bed, wood-burning stove, ensuite compost toilet and kitchenette. Take meditative time over simple daily activities like fetching water and collecting firewood, with no distractions from social media.  Wildlife previously spotted includes; Kingfishers, Herons, Deer, Badgers, Foxes, Polecats, Moorhens and some boisterous but friendly cows in the field behind.

Enjoy the quiet surroundings, sip tea on the secluded veranda overlooking the large pond or cook some bacon on the camp stove.

The Shepherd's Hut

Lovingly converted from a garden shed by Naomi's dad, the Shepherd's Hut is a rustic, handcrafted hideaway, built using locally sourced, found materials. Being off-grid, it is an eco-friendly way to retreat and enjoy some silence and solitude in the midst of nature. The Hut has twin single beds, a table, chairs and fully equipped kitchenette with camping cooking stove. (Best enjoyed during the summer, as there’s no heating.) Compost toilet and shower located in nearby converted stable. 

 

Enjoy a magical glamping experience, sipping coffee whilst staring out at the view across our fields, woods and over to the bay. Watching the buzzards and listening to the owls.
